I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school that's gay. I'm surrounded by a great circle of friends! I'm a genuine guy. I'm always open for conversation and advice if my friends ever need it. But no one ever asks me to hangout. I always have to ask them. I mean I get it, girls don't ask guys to hangout..right? But lately, i've been getting dicked over by everyone. Just today I was supposed to hangout with my friends but just 20 mins ago she told me her mom won't let her take the car. But that's a lie because I saw someone's facebook status saying that they were out with that same girl who asked me to hangout. This has happened to me a lot. I don't get any texts, no one bothers to ask me how my day was. I feel worthless and it's another Saturday night that i'm home in my dark room crying on my bed. I have a wonderful family and a wonderful lifestyle but at the end of the day I just want a friend. I don't deserve this. All I've done is be nice and caring about everyone.

Hi - I'm confused by this statement and I'll quote you - "I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school that's gay" - are you saying you're gay or the schools gay? I understand its very difficult navigating friendships in school sometimes - its hard to find loyal friends. These kind of interactions you describe, probably happen fairly often to people before but we had no way of finding out - in others words, online connections make it easier to notice what people are doing. If you have a good friend you trust maybe you can ask their opinion why they think this is happening. I hope it gets better for you.
